Top 10 Mobile Phone Brands in Asia-Pacific | Marketing
We caress them and rock them. We spend hours contemplating them with love. We panic if an accident happens to them. We become anxious when they are out of reach for more than a few minutes. We sometimes devote more time to them than to our loved ones. Then we get fed up with them and yearn for – and then splash heavily on – the newest and sexiest to come.
Whether you think they’re miraculous machines that benefit humanity or diabolical devices that drain our souls (surely it’s both of those things), smartphones are an integral part of the lives of a high percentage of the population of the planet. You can easily find more smartphone sales stats than you need, but which brands do Asians consider the best? That’s what we’re here to find out.
The following facts about the preferred mobile phone brands in Asia are taken from the 2021 edition of Asia-Pacific Campaignexclusive research on Asia’s top 1000 brands, conducted in partnership with Nielsen IQ. The region’s most comprehensive study of consumer perception of brands, Asia’s Top 1000 Brands, asks consumers in 14 Asia-Pacific markets to name the brands they consider the best in 15 broad categories of products and services. From there, we compile the overall ranking of Asia’s top 1000 brands, a list of the top 100 brands in each market, and a variety of features and reports by category like this.

Uneven reception from Samsung? – Despite finishing #2 on a regional basis, Samsung ranks #1 in far more markets than Apple (10 to three) and ranks #2 in two others. Weakness in a few key markets prevents it from beating Apple for the top regional spot.
