Ta2heal phone app launched in Egypt to help special needs education

Ta2heal is a mobile application dedicated to helping the education of children with special needs through the wonders of technology.

Special education in Egypt is a very underrated subject that inevitably leaves many parents struggling with their children’s learning disabilities. ADD and ADHD along with other behavioral and psychological problems can cause a child to be left behind in regular education levels. However, Ta2heal, a mobile app aims to challenge and tackle this problem head-on.

Ta2heal is a mobile application dedicated to helping children with special needs in their pursuit of education through the wonders of technology.

The app, which will launch later this year on various platforms such as Android, Windows Phone, and iOS, allows parents to enter their children’s information on the app. Subsequently, a diagnosis of the child’s condition would be made as well as a tailor-made plan to help improve the development of the child’s skills and direct the family to the best rehabilitation center if necessary.

Due to the lack of awareness of child psychology and the special educational needs that remain unanswered, children grow up feeling “abnormal” or less adequate than their peers. The parents of these children, due to the lack of understanding of the child’s behavior, end up frustrated and continually agitated by the situation.

Instead of going years without proper diagnosis and professional care, Ta2heal will give parents and their children the breakthrough they need.

Speaking to Daily News Egypt, Tarek el-Fakharany, Founder and CEO of Ta2heal, said the app is a marketing tool to help raise awareness and not just help parents understand a child’s special needs, but also to help encourage their children and teach them that there is nothing wrong with them.

Fakharany also highlighted the fact that the entire Ta2heal team has spent countless hours in rehabilitation centers in order to closely monitor them and see first-hand the quality of services and treatments provided.

Ta2heal is currently working alongside two centers, The Egyptian Advance Society for Persons with Autism and Other Disabilities and Friends Forever (Dayman Ashab), which are dedicated to children’s rehabilitation and aim to successfully negotiate a deal with a third center.

El Fakharany also said that the app currently receives five to 10 monthly subscriptions through these centers, noting that the prices are 150 EGP (19.14 USD) for monthly subscribers, 420 EGP (53.6 USD) for a 3 month subscription and EGP 780 (US $ 99.54) for a 6 month subscription.

No matter how noble the cause is, Ta2heal is currently seeking more investors and sponsors in order to expand its presence in the Egyptian market and adequately provide the necessary help and support to help these children physically, psychologically and mentally and their families.
