The new Aprilia SR 160 2021 will have a sportier looking front fascia, making it more desirable than before. More details below.

Aprilia India looks set to launch the new updated version of its sports scooter, better known as the SR 160 in the country. The new model was photographed completely undisguised in what appears to be a corporate warehouse or dealer stockyard. Speaking of the updates that the new Aprilia SR 160 2021 will offer, the scooter will receive an updated front fairing with an all-LED headlight versus a halogen unit on the outgoing model. The new headlight design looks sharper and sportier and, therefore, tends to make the scooter even more desirable.
The dashboard of the new Aprilia SR 160 2021 is expected to be a fully digital unit and it could also support Bluetooth smartphone connectivity. The 160.03cc single cylinder engine in the SR 160 already meets BS6 standards and therefore we don’t expect to see any changes on the new facelift model in terms of the powertrain. Said engine is good at producing 10.84 hp of power with 11.6 Nm of torque.
In terms of hardware, the updated Aprilia SR 160 2021 would use the same telescopic front forks with a front disc brake, single-channel ABS and 14-inch alloy rims on both ends. The new model is expected to launch very soon, keeping the current holiday season in mind. The current model is available in showrooms for a price of Rs 1.09 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) and the new model will likely demand a considerable premium over the price of the old one. That said, we suspect that the new 2021 SR 160 would be launched at a price close to Rs 1.5 lakh (ex-showroom).
