Delivery of orders is limited to Kochi this time around and will be extended later with the next release, she said. The company was incubated at Technopark and StartUp Village.

AmidRay Technologies, led by a group of young entrepreneurs from Kerala, designed this innovative mobile technology to ensure that the future Onam is “smarter” and “smoother” with m-payasam.

Regarding the app’s USP, Prateeksha said that placing an order via mobile would be a very different and exciting proposition.

In Kerala, payasam is a staple of the Onam festival. Either cook it at home or buy it directly from caterers. It is very difficult to place an order by calling a caterer and you have to buy it while going to a store.

Initially, there will be two varieties of payasam. Once a customer places their order, they are informed of the price and the delight is delivered to their doorstep.

Rohit RK, chief operating officer (COO) of the company, said it was an easy to use app. “M-payasam is an innovation for those people who don’t have time to cook at home,” he said.

The team plans to launch the next version of the product “very soon”, which will help a smartphone user order food in hotels, reserve tables in restaurants, and reserve rooms in hotels and restaurants. cinema tickets. Additionally, those who go to the movies can order snacks (like cold drinks, popcorn) while reserving tickets. These snacks will be delivered during the interval of a movie to your very place.

The company is also considering establishing links with supermarkets. The mobile application will contain the list of products and their prices. It will be easy for customers to shop through their cell phones, ”said Prateeksha.

In December, the app’s operations will be expanded to allow people to order birthday cakes and gifts, she said.
